Creating Location, Device or NAS ID's

This guide explains how to create your own unique Location/NAS ID's with your Reseller SO Connect Dashboard account.

Step 1:

Login to your SO Connect Dashboard and go to "Partner Tools" in the left menu. Now click on "Devices".

 

Click on "Add device" in the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 2:

Under "device name" please fill in the customer's location name.

Please select the correct hardware type from the dropdown menu. If it's a non WIFI Marketing location, please select "SO Connect Dummy".

IMPORTANT:

Some hardware types require extra information.

If your Ruckus Virtual Smart Zone is not setup with a Northbound interface, consult your Ruckus supplier on how to set this up properly.

Step 3:

Click on "Add device" and copy the Location and Device ID. You will need the Location ID for the Integration process and the Device ID for the Provisioning process.

The device will be shown in the devices menu when you search for the Device ID or the Name that you filled in at Step 2.
